One Child One-Plant a Tree, Now, Save the Future Campaign Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Project
In 2020, COLEIN AID, with support from the Ministry of Water and Environment, launched the One Child One Tree Project. This initiative was part of a broader environmental conservation effort inspired by a charity run held in 2019 to raise awareness for the “Plant a Tree Now, Save the Future” campaign—an important global contribution to climate action.
The project focused on mobilizing 100,000 seedlings, consisting of 30,000 pines and 70,000 eucalyptus, to be distributed to 7 institutions and 87 individual farmers in Zombo District.
Every tree planted today is a step towards a sustainable future. Together, we can combat climate change, one seedling at a time.
Key Activities Implemented:
Distribution of 100,000 seedlings.
Sensitization of the community on environmental protection and conservation through a radio talk show.
