What We Do
- We promote environmental sustainability through community engagement, education, and practical conservation actions. Our work focuses on environmental and conservation education for children, youth, and communities, while promoting ecotourism for sustainable development.
- We support tree planting and ecosystem restoration through community, school, and youth-led campaigns, including the establishment of women-led indigenous tree nurseries and community woodlots.
- To reduce pressure on forests, we have supported 120 households with improved cook stoves, helping lower firewood consumption and indoor air pollution.
- Conduct wetland conservation awareness along River Ora and strengthen youth climate leadership as the
- Meaningful Youth Engagement in Climate related decision making process. We serve as the regional host organization for the Youth Climate Council in Northern Uganda, promoting youth participation in climate policy and advocacy.

Project Overview
Our access to land justice project empowers women as champion of environmental restoration and sustainable livelihood. Through collaborative action, and establishment of FOOD FOREST, women are
Key Activities
- Planting indigenous fruit trees species to restore ecosystem, improves nutrition and secure income.
- Strengthening village saving and Loans Association (VSLA) to build financial resilience and empower women economically.
- Promote the use of improved household cook stoves to reduce deforestation, save time, cut fuel cost and improve family health. This initiative not only restores the environment but also uplift women in conservation entrepreneurship and community transformation
Results Achieved
- 12,000 indigenous trees planted
- 24 community awareness meetings conducted across four villages.
- 100 radio jingles aired for six months to promote community roles in wetland restoration.
- 4 indigenous tree nurseries established and managed by women’s groups.
- 120 women engaged, each supported with tree seedlings for restoration and woodlot development.
- Increased awareness among community members on gender roles in woodlot establishment and natural resource management.
